Today the Young Scientists went to the Science Lab and did some smart board activities about matter. Then, we made "Resurrection Biscuits" and talked about how the biscuits underwent a chemical change. We tied the experiment in with Bible, too, as it goes along with the Resurrection account and how Jesus was buried and then raised Himself from the dead 3 days later. Ask your child to tell you about it!

Today we had sooooo much fun in the Science Lab! We discussed the states of matter, focusing on solids and liquids. We talked about physical and chemical changes and the differences between them. Then, we took cream (a liquid) and turned it into butter (a solid). We spread it on some graham crackers and ate it...YUM! We love Science!!!

We had a fun time in the Science Lab practicing measurement! We made lemonade and kool aid...we started by measuring the temperature of the water with thermometers, and then we measured just the right amount of water and flavored powder. We talked about what mixtures and solutions are, and then we enjoyed our refreshing beverages...YUM!

Today our Young Scientists practiced measuring temperature! They each had their own thermometer and measured the temperature of 3 bowls of water...one with ice in it, one which was room temperature, and one which was warm. We looked at some fossils using magnifying glasses, too!!!
